Cosses Garden Walks
Cosses sits in a wooded valley and guests are invited to take a stroll around the 12 acres of grounds - through the cottage garden, the shrubbery and kitchen garden, through the woods, around the pond and by Crailoch Burn. There are several different routes for those who wish to explore further, through woodland and farmland, with cows and sheep, along valleys and over hills with wonderful coastal scenery.
For those who are more energetic, Beneraird or Knockdolian Hill at 256ft high is always a pulse racer and rewards those who get to the top with spectacular views over the south west coast over to Arran, The Mull of Kintyre and Ireland.
Gardens
The micro climate caused by the Gulf Stream makes this area unique for some magnificent gardens which are all worth visiting. There are some wonderful gardens both in Ayrshire and within easy driving distance in Dumfries and Galloway.
The large country gardens are spectacular in Spring when the rhododendrons and azaleas are in full bloom.
